VNIDA Promulgates the Regulations on Professional Practice of VNIDA Chartered Independent Directors (VNCID)
To enhance corporate governance standards in Vietnam, VNIDA has officially promulgated the Regulations on Professional Practice of VNIDA Chartered Independent Directors (VNCID).
The Regulations establish standards relating to professional ethics, independence, professional competence, oversight responsibilities, continuing professional development obligations, and mechanisms for addressing violations applicable to VNIDA Chartered Independent Directors.
This marks an important step in professionalising the community of independent directors in Vietnam, contributing to improved corporate governance quality, greater transparency and accountability, and stronger protection of shareholders’ interests in line with advanced corporate governance practices.
